ANN McMAN is the author of seven novels and two short story collections. She is a recipient of both the Alice B. Lavender Certificate for Outstanding Debut Novel and the Alice B. Medal for Outstanding Body of Work, and her novel, Hoosier Daddy, was a 2014 Lambda Literary Award finalist.
Ann was one of 25 emerging authors invited to write an introductory essay for the Lambda Literary Foundation’s 25 for 25: An Anthology of Works by 25 Outstanding LGBT Authors and Those They Inspired. Her collections, Sidecar and Three won Golden Crown Literary Society Awards for best short story collection. Backcast was awarded the silver medal in the Independent Publisher Awards (IPPYs) in the Northeast Region, and was named Lesbian Fiction Book of the Year in the 2017 Rainbow Awards. A career graphic designer, Ann is a two-time recipient of the Tee Corinne Award for Outstanding Cover Design.
Ann lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
