Dearest Friends.

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that our very dear friend and sister, Sandra Moran passed away peacefully and without pain at 10:14 p.m. on November 7, 2015—she was in the arms of her great love, her wife, and her soulmate, Cheryl Pletcher.

More than anything, those of us who knew her are lost—the landscape of our familiar somehow changed while we were sleeping, and now we don’t know where to go or how to get there from here. But we will, because that’s what we do—we go on. And, if we’re still, and if we’re lucky, and if we have the patience to pay attention, we will see the signs that Sandra has left for us all.

Because that’s what her time among us was spent doing—leaving each and every one of us a million neon signs.

As we all find our own ways to celebrate this extraordinary life, we at Bywater Books ask that you join with us in holding her family up in love, strength, peace, and healing.

She would want us to do this, and we know that each of us will honor her by going forward in joy and celebration of the life and literature she cherished so dearly.
